Hey Basketball Family,
That was exciting! What a fantastic win for the CCS flames on Saturday afternoon.
Team Photos
Just a reminder that part of practice tomorrow will be pictures for the yearbook. Players should have their home jersey's ready for the picture.
Tuesday's game
Our next game is Tuesday evening starting at 6:30pm at Immanuel Lutheran School in Batavia (Information about location and directions are listed below). Parents are responsible to get their players to the game. Parents should have their players at the Immanual gym by 5:45pm Tuesday evening. The varsity players should go home after school, do homework, eat something lite, and then head to the game. Hey Basketball Family,
I just want to pass on our appreciation for the great games the Calvary varsity teams played on Saturday. They played really hard, gave a 100% effort, and represented CCS very well. Congratulations to Sam Stanton and Johnny Thill on making the all tournament team.
Monday, January 16th practice.
Just a reminder that the varsity team will practice on Monday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. We hope everyone can make it.
Schedule change for Tuesday, January 17th games (home verse St. Paul's).
There was a small goof-up with the schedule for Tuesday night. Both the girls and varsity boys are playing that evening. Therefore, the boys games have been moved back to 5:15pm for 8th Grade and 6:15pm for 7th grade. We hope this doesn't cause any inconvenience.
Please feel free to e-mail me or call me if you need any additional clarification.
Thanks,
Coach Jeff

Basketball Family,
I just wanted to drop a quick note of thanks for everyone's help to make today's tournament a success. I had a number of coaches and also the referees compliment me on how well the tournament ran. CCS is getting a good "problem" to have with this event-schools want to come and be part of this and this great experience they want to be part of would not happen without the support and help of all our families. Officials like to come as well because they are treated well and like being part of a well-run event. This was the most succesful tournament yet-THANK YOU for all your efforts!
Blessings,
Bob Skelley

Jan. 11, 2006 CCS Shootout Information
Hey Basketball Family,
Happy new year!!
I want to begin by thanking all the parents that made the effort to get their basketball players to the gym for practice over the break. We had really good practices, and we had some fun too.
Our next game (first of the new year) is Thursday evening. We will be playing at home against Crossroads. Our game will follow the JV game, and should start around 5:00PM.
This Saturday, Jan 14th, is the CCS Shootout. Here is the schedule of the games:

Please have your player bring both their home and away jersey's to the the shootout.
The varsity's first game is at 9:15am, so players should be in the gym around 8:15am. Please remember to send them with a water bottle (or some sports drink), or money to purchase something. Please have them eat a small meal before the game, we want them to be a little hungry at game time (not sick to their stomach because they had a huge breakfast).
Bob Skelley has created a concession schedule, and it will be sent in a follow-up e-mail.
I have included the game schedule and concession schedule on the web site which you can access by clicking on this link: CCS Shootout 2006
We look forward to seeing you at our next game.
Thanks,
Coach Jeff
