A history of Lord & Murphy
In March of 1972 Lord & Murphy began serving municipal clients with software products. The need for quality fund accounting software was increasing as computers began to become more affordable. Lord & Murphy responded to this need by developing a complete suite of fund accounting software. This software has been in use for over 30 years. In 1987, a client asked Lord & Murphy to develop a park registration system. This system was developed for the IBM midrange computer systems. In 1997 we began to convert our popular midrange product to a Windows based environment. Taking many of the popular features from the product, and adding new features that take advantage of the Windows operating system has created a robust system. Additional modules for Facility Scheduling, Pass Management, and a work order system that connects to Pocket PC devices have also been developed.
